Week 2: Thing 3 - Avatar

Wow, that took a while. There were a  lot of options to choose from on the Avatar tool. Not too many relating to libraries though. And there is a distinct anime look to the characters. Too bad for you if you don't like that stylization. Still, it was fun to design an avatar and to have as much control as I did.

  1. Welcome to School Library Learning 2.0 -- excellent timing because I'm putting together a poster session for the CSLA-CLA conference on "Navigating the New, Charting the Future Together: Taking and Teaching Tutorials Together, a perfect partnership". Hope to see you at conference.

Love your avatar. You may want to move her to the sidebar so your posts are more visible. Also, over time, you will discover a variety of other avatar sites. After all, this course is about discovery learning.

The BLOGGER tools have evolved a lot over the past 4-5 years. For example, you are using TWO new features: "reactions" and the options for readers to "share" via twitter, facebook, etc.

  2. Welcome to SLL 2.0! You're in for a lot of fun. If you are at a school with teenagers, you might also like to attend a session I am co-presenting at the conference on Teen Library Learning 2.0, the teen version of this tutorial after you visit Jackie's poster session. The Teen Learning 2.0 session is on Saturday at 3 P.M.

I think your avatar is very cute, too, but here a wiki page with lots more avatar links if you want to experiment with others. There's no end to the options. :)

    Have fun with the tutorial!
